Who are you? Corin Tucker of Sleater-Kinney.

What are you up to? We're doing press for our new record.

Hometown and current HQ: PDX!

Current fixations: Shelby Lynne, Edmund Crispin mysteries, soymilk.

Mind-altering work of art: Mr. Death, film by Errol Morris.

Most memorable/inspirational gig? And why? Quasi, Valentines Day, 1997 (or ‘98) EJ's. It was a "make it or break it" show in terms of the band staying together, really. Fortunately they made it.

What should everyone shut up about? Phil Collins.

Your greatest strength/weakness: Loyalty, and stubbornness.

Your vital daily ritual: Vitamins and hot tea.

Guilty pleasures: Chocolate and Sheryl Crow.

If I wasn’t playing music I would be: Miserable.

Your most memorable day job: Counting newspaper stacks at the Eugene Register-Guard.

Best/worst advice received: "It'll all be over soon." (Ira Kaplan of Yo La Tengo on playing a horrible live show, or embarrassment in general.)

I would drop everything to play a benefit for: Ladyfest 2000! (info@ladyfest.org)

What makes you want to take it off and get it on? The Pixies, Marvin Gaye, mix tapes.

What personal trait would make you kick someone out of your band and/or bed? And have you? No comment.

When I think of Canada I think: "Blame Canada!"

Music and sex: Is there a difference? Why? There are probably as many moods and nuances to both, but with music you have the screen of performance to hide behind.

Strangest brush with celebrity:I met John Cusack in an elevator. He introduced himself as "Johnny."

What does your mom wish you were doing instead? She wishes I was a lawyer, or had any kind of "regular" job. But she's also supportive.
